Ofsted
We are very pleased with our recent Ofsted report. It is full of positive comments and the recognition that progress is being made. In particular, I am pleased that the OFSTED team has backed our judgement that we know our school and that we have plans to enable us to move forward. I am also very happy that it was clear to the inspectors that 'the school knows and cares for its pupils well' and that 'all pupils feel valued, safe and secure.'
We know that we can go from strength to strength. Firm foundations have been laid, strategies are in place, action plans are being worked through and staff, governors, pupils and parents are committed to making progress.
In addition, one of the most important judgements made by the inspectors was that 'The capacity to make any necessary improvements: is good.' The inspectors acknowledged that we had already correctly identified areas for improvement through our 'effective self-evaluation'.
On page 5 you will see a list of areas in which the school could improve. As we have indicated we also identified the improvements that need to be made. These are already set in motion with good progress being made.
If you have any comments to make about any aspect of the report or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Mandy Crossan, Headteacher.
